Box Score Atlanta, Ga. --- Led by Mykala Jones' career-high 32 points, the Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers rolled to a 84-76 victory over the Stillman Lady Tigers on Monday night. The win was the Lady Panthers first in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) this season. The Lady Tigers were led by Samantha Thomas with 18 points.
Mykala Jones went 9-of-19 from the floor, including 5-of-11 from three-point range. She added another nine points from the free throw line, going 9-of-10. She was joined in double figure scoring by teammates Siera Bubb (11) and Iyana Spatcher (10). Junior Siera Bubb also pulled down 16 rebounds, earning her second double-double of the season.
The Lady Panthers (4-4, 1-1 SIAC)Â led by as much as 13 in their victory, in which they led the game for a total of 32 minutes.
The Lady Panthers return to action as they travel to Fairfield, Alabama, on Thursday, January 8th, to face off with the Miles College Golden Bears in SIAC action. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM (CT). The Lady Panthers will return home to Epps Gymnasium on Thursday, January 15th, to take on Tuskegee University. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for 6 PM (ET).
