Box Score Atlanta, Ga. --- The Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers made it back-to-back wins on Thursday night, as they downed Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) foe Tuskegee University, 72-64. Mykala Jones led the scoring for the Lady Panthers with 25 points. Siera Bubb added 19 points and 19 rebounds; the latter a career high and a season high for the Lady Panthers. Rachel Brownlee led the way for the Tigerettes with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
The Lady Panthers (6-6, 3-3 SIAC) were tied at 32 with the Tigerettes at halftime. However an eight point run, followed minutes later by a 10-0 run, opened up a 17 point lead for the Lady Panthers with 8:31 remaining in the game. The Tigerettes would not get closer than a eight point deficit the rest of the way, as the Lady Panthers cruised to victory.
Mykala Jones now has two 25+ point performances in her last two home games. She scored 32 against Stillman in the last game at Epps Gymnasium before their three-game road trip. This marks the third straight game in which Siera Bubb has scored in double digits, and also her third double-double on the season.
The Lady Panthers return to Epps Gymnasium on Saturday, January 17th, as they take on Spring Hill College. Tip-off is set for 6 PM. The game will be "Service Personnel Night," meaning all uniformed service personnel get in free.
