Box Score Jackson, Tenn --- Despite a slow start, the Clark Atlanta University Panthers had a chance to win against Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) foe Lane College on Monday night, but ultimately came up short on the road, losing 85-77. The Panthers were led by Earl Lawrence who had 21 points. Donald Stewart led the way for the Dragons with 22 points in the victory.

The Panthers (3-9, 2-3 SIAC) fell behind early as they trailed 16-1 just over six minutes into the game, and trailed by as much as 24 in the first half. Strong defensive play over the remainder of the half allowed them to narrow the Dragons lead to 14 at halftime. The Panthers continued their rally in the second half, getting as close as a five point difference in the final minutes, but were never able to overcome the deficit. 

The Panthers return home as they take on Tuskegee University on Thursday, January 15th. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 PM.
