Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Atlanta, Ga.---Clark Atlanta University softball cruised to a sweep of Paine College 12-3 and 16-4 led by senior Alia Williams at HOME Tuesday.

The Lady Panthers (16-16, SIAC 12-10) went into a scoring frenzy in both games with the help of Williams who knocked in nine RBIs and two homeruns while hitting 5-of-6 at the plate. In game one, third baseman Breanna Bailey put the Panthers on the board with a two-run blast on her first at bat in the top of the first inning that knotted the game at 2. It was all CAU thereafter as Williams smacked one of her two homeruns to add to CAU's lead.

With seven runs scored in the third inning, the Lady Panthers were on cruise control for the remainder of the game. Brittany Gonzalez contributed three RBIs while Williams finished with six in this game including a three-run shot in the fourth.

CAU pitchers Gonzalez and Barbara Goodwin picked up the wins in today's contests. The Lady Panthers will HOST the next two games at HOME beginning Friday, April 4, at 1&3 pm, against Benedict College and Saturday, April 5, at 2 & 4 pm, against Edward Waters College. All CAU HOME games are played at the Lady Panthers Softball Field.
