Box Score 2 Frankfort, Ky.- The Clark Atlanta University Panthers dropped two consecutive road games to open the conference season after a 91-85 finish against Lane College Saturday and an 83-71 loss to Kentucky State University tonight.
Though leading both games at the half including an eight point advantage against Lane, Clark Atlanta (4-6, 0-2) was outscored in double-digits during the second period of both contests after shooting an average of 37 percent from the field in the period. Sophomore James Arnold led the Panthers while averaging 18 points in both games including a team-high 16 against Lane. Senior guard Jerrell Joye led all scorers with 16 tonight at Kentucky State.
Next, the Panthers will host a three-game stint beginning with Tuskegee University Saturday, Jan. 11th at 8 p.m., in Epps Gymnasium.
