Atlanta, Ga.---Four Lady Panthers scored in double-digits as Clark Atlanta University cruised to a 79-53 lead over Miles College at Epps Gymnasium Thursday.

The inside-outside senior combination of guard Conisha Hicks and center Erika Sumpter combined for 35 points with Hicks dropping a team-high 19. Denissea Law and Kourtney Bishop finished with 10 points each while Jomanda Smalls dominated the boards with a game-high 13 including six on the offensive glass.

CAU commanded a 41-23 halftime lead and held the Lady Bears to 28 percent shooting from the field in first period. Though Miles (7-9, SIAC 1-5) was able to close the gap in the second half, Clark Atlanta's lead was too much to overcome. Javonne Brown led all scorers with a game-high 24 points for the Lady Bears.

With the win CAU (12-3, SIAC 5-0) rolled to its fifth consecutive conference win before heading on the road to face Claflin University Saturday, Jan. 18.
