Lady Panthers Reign Supreme

Box Score Atlanta, Ga. (Written by: Robert Vogel) – The Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers' domination on the court secured an 84-63 victory over the Lady Tigerettes of Tuskegee University in Epps Gymnasium Saturday.

In a game that featured a pair of defenses that like to pressure the ball and force turnovers, Clark was able to come out on the better end. The Lady Panthers forced 26 Lady Tigerettes turnovers on nine steals while never relinquishing the lead in the game.
Four Lady Panthers scoring in double digits helped them dominate Tuskegee in the second half. Senior Conisha Hicks had a game-high 22 points and  six boards while also shooting 4-for-4 from the free throw line.  With a season-high 19 points, junior Denissea Law finished 8-for-9 from the field while Sumpter contributed16 points and nine rebounds. Off the bench, Iyana Spatcher added 13 points for the Lady Panthers.
The Lady Panthers (10-3, SIAC 3-0) will return to the court at 6 p.m., Monday Jan. 13th  as they host Stillman College (4-9, SIAC  0-3) in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match- up in Epps Gymnasium.
