Six Lady Panthers Earn Track and Field All-Conference Honors

Atlanta, Ga.---The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced its 2012 Track and Field Men's and Women's All-Conference Teams that featured six Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers led by Sophomore Markeisha Woodson named to the first team in the 5000 meters, 10,000 meters and the 3,000 meter Steeplechase. Tabia Wade joined Woodson on the first team for her performance in the Heptathlon this season. Rounding out the second team CAU was Brittany Robinson (1500 meters and 5000 meters) and pole vaulter Ashley Ellis. For the second consecutive year, Ariel Lomax, a business administration major with a 3.76 grade point average and Nekesha Whitaker, criminal justice, with a 3.66 grade point average earned All-Academic honors. The 2012 SIAC track and field championships begins today (4/19) through Saturday, 4/21, B.T. Harvey stadium on the campus of Morehouse College.
