Atlanta, Ga.---Clark Atlanta University's pitcher Ashley Brooks has earned the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) East Division Pitcher of the Week honor announced today after recording her first shutout over the weekend. Brooks, a native of Douglasville, GA, pitched 11 innings in four appearances with 13 strikeouts and just five walks, earning her second weekly honor this season. The 5-foot-10 senior finished the week with a 1-1 record and a save while recording her first shutout of the season in the Panthers 12-0 win over Wesleyan College Sunday.
