Atlanta, Ga.---Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers softball team dropped two conference games at home 6-4 and 9-0 against Benedict College Wednesday at Panther Field.

With a 6-6 tie at the top of the seven inning in game one, the Lady Panthers gave up two game-winning runs and could not get the bats going offensively. Third baseman Elizabeth Handy went 2-for-3 with one run scored and an RBI.

It was all Benedict in the second game as the Lady Tigers cruised to a shut-out victory. CAU gave up six runs in the third inning while Dondra Gregg led Benedict at the plate with three RBIs.

With the loss, the Lady Panthers (17-19, SIAC 7-15) dropped to fifth place in the SIAC East Division. Next, they will travel to Fort Valley Saturday, March 31, before hosting their final two games of the season versus Paine College (4/7) and Wesleyn College (4/15).
