Women’s Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Team Award, Four Lady Panthers Earn ITA Scholar-Athlete Awards

Clark Atlanta women's tennis garners national recognition

GILBERT, Ariz. – The Clark Atlanta University women's tennis team has been recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for its academic excellence during the 2025 season, earning ITA All-Academic Team honors.

The Lady Panthers posted a cumulative 3.29 GPA to receive the prestigious award.

In addition, four Clark Atlanta student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes: Alexandra Turnbough, Janae Troupe, Joiya Middlebrook, and Keynon Thompkins.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is presented to programs with a team GPA of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction is awarded to individuals who achieve a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
