Joseph Arnold Earns NAAC Division II Excellence Award

CAU Deputy Athletic Director earns national recognition

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) has announced its 2025 award winners who will be recognized in person during the 2025 NAAC Convention taking place at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, FL, June 8-11, with Clark Atlanta's own Deputy Athletic Director for Compliance and Sports Administration Joseph Arnold earning the Division II Excellence Award.

"So much of the work we do in this field happens behind the scenes, and it can often feel thankless—so to be recognized in this way is truly meaningful. I'm incredibly grateful to my family, friends, mentors, colleagues, and peers, and especially to the student-athletes who inspire me daily. This honor is not mine alone—it's a reflection of the incredible community that has supported me throughout my journey," mentioned Arnold on his national recognition.

The Division II Excellence Award is a prestigious annual award given to a compliance professional who is a leader in the compliance field at the Division II level.

As Deputy A.D./Compliance & Sports Administration at Clark Atlanta, Joseph Arnold is the guiding force behind all compliance/leadership functions, steering the department towards a bright future. Even prior to CAU, he thrived in leadership roles at various institutions/conferences, proving his ability to adapt and excel in any environment. Arnold is a visionary who actively shapes the future of Division II compliance as can be seen in his service on prestigious boards, leadership programs, and committees.  Nationally, Arnold serves on the NCAA Division II Strategic Planning and Finance Committee, is a graduate of the prestigious Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute, and is currently a participant in the NCAA Pathway Program.
