Panthers' Comeback Falls Short Against Morehouse in a 75-71 Home Loss

ATLANTA, Ga. — A furious second-half rally wasn't enough for Clark Atlanta as Morehouse held on for a 75-71 victory in a Saturday's SIAC showdown at L.S. Epps Gymnasium.

Jalen Williams led the Panthers (12-8, 9-4 SIAC) with 21 points, including four three-pointers, while Ny'Mire Little added 17 off the bench in a valiant effort to erase a 16-point halftime deficit. Clark Atlanta outscored Morehouse 43-31 in the second half but was unable to complete the comeback.

Morehouse (10-10, 7-5 SIAC) built a commanding 44-28 halftime lead behind Cedric Taylor III's game-high 26 points. Taylor was efficient from beyond the arc, hitting three triples, and added 11 free throws to his tally. Jaden Gray chipped in with 14 points, including four three-pointers.

After struggling in the first half, Clark Atlanta found its rhythm after intermission, cutting the deficit to single digits with under five minutes remaining. Williams and Little fueled the run with timely three-pointers, and Clark Atlanta's defense forced multiple turnovers.
However, Morehouse made key free throws down the stretch to seal the win, snapping Clark Atlanta's three-game winning streak.

UP NEXT

The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 5 as they host Allen University at 6 p.m. inside L.S Epps Gymnasium.
