MACON, Ga. — Clark Atlanta University's men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up their 2025 season Friday morning at the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, held at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course. Competing against some of the best programs in the SIAC, the Panthers displayed heart, resilience and steady improvement throughout the 5K and 8K races.
On the women's side, Clark Atlanta battled through a competitive field led by Albany State, Tuskegee and Lane. Despite injuries and a shortened roster, the Lady Panthers gave a determined effort from start to finish, highlighting their teamwork and growth since the season opener. Several runners recorded personal-best times, underscoring the program's development under a demanding schedule this fall.
The men's team also showed grit in the 8K race, taking on a strong field that featured championship-caliber squads from Morehouse, Benedict and Central State. The Panthers held their own, staying disciplined through the course's rolling terrain and late-race challenges. Their consistency and camaraderie stood out as the group powered through the final stretch together.
While the Panthers did not secure a podium finish, the meet served as a powerful reflection of Clark Atlanta's progress. Head coach and staff praised both teams for their perseverance, commitment and steady strides in a rebuilding year.
Clark Atlanta now looks ahead to offseason training and the return of key underclassmen in 2026, aiming to continue elevating the program's standing within the SIAC.
