Lady Panthers Crush LeMoyne-Owen in Saturday Afternoon Clash

Clark Atlanta bounces back against LeMoyne-Owen

ATLANTA, GA Clark Atlanta University showcased its offensive firepower in a decisive 91-56 victory over LeMoyne-Owen on Saturday afternoon at L.S. Epps Gymnasium.

After a close first half, where the Lady Panthers led 31-23, Clark Atlanta erupted in the third quarter, outscoring the Magicians 34-18 and never looking back. Forward Atreonia Garner was instrumental, leading all scorers with 18 points, including six rebounds and two steals. Trinity Jones added 17 points with four three-pointers, anchoring the team on both ends of the court.

Clark Atlanta's defense played a crucial role, forcing 27 turnovers and converting them into 34 points. The Panthers also dominated in the paint, scoring 40 points, while their bench contributed a solid 30 points to the effort.

Despite a commendable 18-point performance from LeMoyne-Owen's Staisha Hamilton, the Magicians couldn't find their rhythm against the Panthers' relentless press.
With the win, Clark Atlanta improves to 3-2 on the season, building momentum as they prepare for conference play.
