SAVANNAH, Ga. -- The Clark Atlanta men's basketball team (13-3, 7-3 SIAC) extended it's win streak to six games on Monday evening after taking down Savannah State in a 50-49 nailbiter inside Tiger Arena. Elijah Stewart scored a game-high 17 points to pace the Panthers.

Shemani Fuller also registered his second double-double of the season after notching 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

Both teams came out poised to set the tone early as they traded scores evenly, keeping each other with at least six points until the 5:56 mark in the first half. Kharye Cayne knocked down a three followed by three quick points from Shemani Fuller to put the Panther ahead by 11 (30-19) with 2:55 left to play until the half. The Tigers closed out the final three minutes with a 10-0 run to bring the margin to one point heading into intermission.

Clark Atlanta started the second half strong after Andrew Stewart Fuller scored back-to-back buckets to mount a six-point lead on the Tigers at the 13:37 mark in the second half. The Panthers held the lead for the remainder of the second half as they held on to outlast the Tigers 50-49 inside Tiger Arena.

Clark Atlanta men's basketball returns to action on Saturday, January 27 for the highly anticipated "Battle of the AUC" against cross-campus rival Morehouse College. Tipoff is set for 1:30 p.m. inside the historic L.S. Epps Gymnasium.
