JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Corianna Evans dominated today as her season-high 33-point, 16-rebound performance propelled Clark Atlanta (8-7, 5-5 SIAC) past Edward Waters (4-13, 2-8 SIAC) in a 91-73 victory on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Lady Panthers improved to 8-7 overall and 5-5 in conference play.

Freshman Atreonia Garner registered her sixth-straight double-figure scoring game after logging 27 points and pulling down eight rebounds in the win. Trinity Jones also added 14 points while dishing out two helpers.

Clark Atlanta started strong after outscoring Edward Waters 23-10 in the first frame. Garner and Evans combined for 14 points in the opening quarter. The Lady Tigers erased the deficit with 4:56 left to play in the half after taking a 28-27 lead midway through the second quarter. Faith Bland knocked down a free throw to put Clark Atlanta back in front 38-36 heading into the intermission.

CAU shot 42.8% from the field in the third quarter to hold a three-point (60-57) edge over EWU going into the final frame. The Lady Panthers sealed the deal in the fourth after going 12-of-17 (70.5%) from the field to escape with the 91-73 road victory over the Lady Tigers.
