HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Corriana Evans scored Clark Atlanta's first four points to cut the early deficit to 8-4 at the 6:11 mark in the first quarter.
- CAU fell behind by 14-4 before using a 7-0 run to cut the margin to three (14-11) with 2:20 left in the first frame.
- The Lady Panthers finished the first quarter on a 9-1 streak to head into the second down 15-13. Evans and Asha Ross combine for 13 points in the first period.
- Both teams traded baskets to start the second quarter until they were tied at 22 apiece at the 8:05 mark in quarter two.Â
- Janiah Ellis drained a three to put the Lady Panthers in front 25-22 midway through the second quarter.
- Ellis and Evans each scored nine points in the first half to send CAU into the intermission with a 39-33 advantage. Ross notched six first-half points to add to the lead.
- Hannah White converted on a four-point play to extend CAU's lead to 46-39 with 7:30 to play in the third.
- Kaia Barnett laid in a score to push the Lady Panthers' lead to 10 points (49-39).
