ATLANTA, Ga. | The Clark Atlanta Panthers baseball team dropped a heartbreaker in conference play as they fell to Tuskegee 5-3 in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader.
CAU took a 1-0 lead on a Darrin Brown double, bringing Kentavious Veal home for the score.
The Golden Tigers took the lead on a single in the second frame.
TU pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning.
Jaylen Hill earned the victory on the mound for Tuskegee. The pitcher allowed six hits and three runs over nine innings, striking out seven on the day.
Asa Waites took the loss for CAU. The Chicago native gave up five runs on six hits over five innings, striking out four.
Jaden Foster logged the lone homer on the day for Clark Atlanta in the seventh inning.
Darrin Brown went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the way for CAU in hits.
Tuskegee racked up seven hits on the day. Nicholas Pratt and Hatch each collected multiple hits for Tuskegee.

ATLANTA, Ga. | Clark Atlanta men's baseball dropped its second game of the day as they suffered a 4-1 loss to Tuskegee in game two of Saturday's doubleheader.
Tuskegee scored an early run in the top of the second before CAU notched the score at one apiece on a Justice Page solo homer in the bottom of the second.
Tuskegee pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning.
Cody Willis was the winning pitcher for Tuskegee. Willis surrendered one run on two hits over seven innings, striking out six.
ZyKoabi Randolph picked up the loss on the mound for CAU. Randolph allowed four hits and four runs over six and two-thirds innings with 10 strikeouts.
