Lady Panthers Sweep Paine College on Senior Night

Volleyball sweeps Paine in back-to-back matches

ATLANTA, Ga. – On a night where three seniors where three seniors were honored, the Clark Atlanta Lady Panthers swept Paine College 3-0 on Thursday night inside Epps Gymnasium. CAU also swept Paine College on Tuesday night on the road at the HEAL Complex.

Shynique McGee (Atlanta, Ga.) registered her 18th straight match with 11 or more kills as she logged 20 kills and 17 digs on the way to Thursday night's win over the Lady Lions. Allanah Drayton-Campbell (Duncanville, Texas) led all setters with a game-high 23 assists to pace the Lady Panthers. 

The Lady Panthers took set one 25-20 after a kill from Halle Mitchell (Denton, Texas) and an error from the Lady Lions to finish the first frame. McGee spiked five kills in set two to push the Lady Panthers to a 25-16 victory and a 2-0 advantage. CAU downed the Lady Lions 25-21 to secure their second-straight sweep and improve to 18-9 in the regular season.

Clark Atlanta women's volleyball concludes the regular season on Saturday (Nov. 4) as they head to the Palmetto State to take on Benedict College at 9 a.m. followed by a matchup with  Allen University at 1 p.m.
