Turner, Ramdyhan and Henry Earn SIAC Tennis Honors

Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers tennis coach Tara Turner and her doubles team of Nicola Ramdyhan and Shereese Henry earned Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference honors for this season, the conference announced this weekend.

Turner was named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year for the second time in four seasons.  Turner, a CAU alumna who was a captain and All-Conference for the Lady Panthers tennis team team during her playing days, led a Clark Atlanta tennis team that los their first five games this season after being ravaged by injuries.  But Turner led her Lady Panthers to a big turnaround in which they earned an11-5 record in SIAC play and finished fourth in the conference.

Ramdyhan, a graduate student from Georgetown, Guyana, and Henry, a junior from St. John's, Antigua combined to form one of the toughest doubles duos in the SIAC this season. Ramdyhan overcame an early season injury that kept her out for much of the pre-SIAC season, while Henry has been one of the veteran mainstays for the Lady Panthers throughout the season.

The Lady Panthers just finished their season after earning their way into the SIAC Women's Championships where they finished fourth.
