It's Senior Day at the CAU Tennis Courts today as the Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers tennis team hosts Georgia Southwestern University at 2 p.m.
Nicola Ramdyhan, a graduate student who is a former SIAC Freshman of the Year along with being a member of the 2019 SIAC Championship team, and
Miyanda Wynn, a senior from Lithia Springs, Ga., who has battled injuries this season, will participate in their final home matches.Â
The Lady Panthers are coming off a great showing at the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Round-Up in Mobile, Ala., where they won six of eight matches.Â
Madison Moffatt won five matches in the No. 1 singles position. She and partner Shareese Henry won six of seven matches in the No. 1 doubles slot.Â
Kristen Blount and
Shani Idlette won five doubles matches while Idlette earned six singles wins. Blunt also added five singles victories.
Today the Lady Panthers take on a Georgia Southwestern squad that is winless this season, losing in their last match 6-0 to Georgia College on Friday, March 25. GSU has a 5-2 record against CAU in all meetings between the two schools, but CAU defeated Georgia Southwestern 6-1 at CAU Tennis Courts in their last meeting on Feb. 1, 2020.
