The Clark Atlanta University Panthers will be looking to win their third game in their last four outings when they visit Benedict tonight at 7:30 p.m., in Columbia, S.C.

The Panthers (8-10, 3-7 SIAC) are coming off a 93-80 victory over Allen this past Saturday, their second win in the past three games.  The other win came on Monday, Jan. 31 against Allen at L.S. Epps Gymnasium.  

The game before that, CAU fell to Benedict (15-5, 11-2 SIAC) at home in a contest were the Panthers led early and twice fought back from double-digit leads before falling to the Tigers.

CAU continues to be led by junior guard Chris Martin who had 26 points in CAU's win over Allen Saturday.  Martin is averaging 19.4 points per game this season while also leading the team in rebounding with just under seven boards per game. Jalen Williams has been just as solid as he is averaging 14.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.  Justin Longstreet is also scoring in double figures with just over 11 points per game.

Benedict has won four of their last five games.  They split their last two games, defeating Fort Valley State Saturday after losing to them on Jan. 31.

Tajh Green leads the Tigers in scoring this season with 15.1 points per game, while pulling down 7.8 rebounds per game.  Green has scored in double figures in every game but two this season, including 15 the last time Benedict played CAU. Timothy Bing averages 14.1 points per game while Malachi McCoy, the team's leading rebounder with nearly nine boards per game, averages 11 points per contest.
