ATLANTA, Ga. – Corriana Evans had team-highs with 26 points and nine rebounds as Clark Atlanta erased a 13-point halftime deficit to beat Johnson C. Smith 86-77 in the season opener.

The Panthers would use a 19-2 second half run to take control of the game as they scored the final 10 points of the third quarter before starting the fourth quarter with a 9-2 run.

Clark trailed 38-25 at halftime and the Panthers outscored the Golden Bulls 35-20 in the third quarter and closed the frame by scoring the final 10 points for a 60-58 lead.

The Panthers led 69-60 following its 9-2 run to start the fourth and they never looked back

Evans was 11 of 14 from the field in the win.

Janiah Ellis added 20 points, Hannah White came off the bench and scored 13 points while Denise Stine finished with 10 points in the win for the Panthers.

Clark shot 49.2 percent in the win (29 of 59) and made 11 of 29 from behind the arc. Johnson C. Smith was 23 of 56 (41.1 percent) and connected on 12 of 31 from downtown (38.7 percent).
