The Clark Atlanta Panthers are in South Georgia today for an important Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference East Division battle against Savannah State at 7 p.m.

CAU (6-7, 3-4 SIAC) are looking to move up in the East Division standings where they are fifth just behind Savannah State (6-8, 4-4 SIAC). CAU is looking to keep pace with first place Benedict (14-4, 9-1 SIAC), streaking Morehouse (12-6, 9-2 SIAC) who has won nine straight, and third-place Albany State (7-13, 5-7 SIAC), who CAU lost to Monday.
CAU continues to be led by
Chris Martin, the SIAC's leading scorer at 20.2 points per game, and
Jalen Williams (15.3 ppg, 5.8 rebounds ppg).
Justin Longstreet is the Panthers other double-digit scorer at 10.8 points per game.
Savannah State counters with Avery Joyner at the beginning of the spring semester and immediately made an impact. Joyner leads the scoring effort, averaging 17.0 points a game after only six games played. Marcus Scott and Trey DeLoach are each putting up 12.5 points a game.
After today's game, CAU returns to L.S. Epps Gymnasium for two home games – Saturday, they host Benedict at 4 p.m. and then Monday they host Allen at 8 p.m.
