Freshman Kaelyn Palms again paced the Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers cross country team during the University of West Georgia Cary Clark Invitational Saturday.

Palms finished 55^th overall with a time of 25:19.31 in the 5k race.  Kayla Partee was 62^nd with a time of 26:12.99, while Naomi Andrews was 72^nd with a time of 27:46.08.  Amethyst Massaquoi finished 76^th (28:29.22, and Shakeria Freeman was 84^th with a time of 29:12.17.

Head Coach Pamela Page said early in the year that her team was inexperienced but have been working hard daily to reach their goals each week.

"The women are coming around," she said.  "The women have work to do and I'm certain they will improve the next couple of meets."

Their next meet will be on metro Atlanta's southside when they participate in the Alexander/Asics Invitational in Fairburn, Ga., on Saturday, Oct. 2.
