Clark Atlanta University's Dazya Mitchell had a top ten finish in the Clayton State Cross Country Challenge Friday in Morrow, Ga.

Mitchell, a junior, finished the 5K course in 21:50.87 in ninth place.  He effort helped the Lady Panthers to finish fifth in the meet. 

Courtney Johnson finished just outside of the top 15, coming in 16^th, with a time of 23:09.47.  Freshman Kayla Partee (29^th) had a time of 25:28.38, while Adoris Gibbs was 35^th, with a time of 26:39.63.  Alicia Gill was just behind Gibbs, finishing 37^th (26:48.47). 

The Lady Panthers next will be back on the course next Saturday, Oct. 5 when they compete in the 14^th Annual JSU Foothills Invitational, hosted by Jacksonville State University in Oxford, Ala.
