The Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers tennis team is back home at CAU Courts today at 1 p.m. to take on Georgia College, a day after losing their first match in nearly a month.
Tuesday, the Lady Panthers (11-2, 9-0 SIAC) lost on the road to Georgia Southwestern State University 6-1. It was their first loss since a March 6 defeat at home to Alabama-Huntsville and breaks CAU's seven-match winning streak.
In singles play,
Alexis Fletcher and
Vanessa Eusebio both lost tough, three-set matches, while
Madison Majors,
Akilah Parker and
Keyvona Moultrie came up just short in their matches. Â
Nicola Ramdyhan picked up the Lady Panthers only victory of the day, winning 7-5, 6-2.
Today, the Lady Panthers play their final non-conference match of the season against a Georgia College team that is 11-4 overall, 5-1 in the Peach Belt Conference.Â
Sunday, the Lady Panthers host Tuskegee at 2 p.m. at CAU Courts on Senior Day. Â Moultrie and her sister
Vivian Moultrie will be honored as they play their final home matches as Lady Panthers.Â
