The Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers tennis team continues to be all alone in first place after going undefeated during the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Crossover this past weekend in Mobile, Ala.
The Lady Panthers are now 11-1 overall this season, with their only loss coming to Alabama-Huntsville. But more importantly, Clark Atlanta is 9-0 in SIAC play and in front in the SIAC East Division.Â
They were a perfect six-for-six this past weekend in the SIAC Crossover in Mobile, Ala., where the Lady Panthers defeated Benedict, Spring Hill, Lane, Albany State, Spring Hill again, and Fort Valley State. Only Benedict managed to score against CAU, losing 4-3.  CAU blanked everyone else 4-0, except for Lane, who they beat 7-0.
Leading the way was
Vanessa Eusebio and
Alexis Fletcher. Eusebio won singles matches against all six of the Lady Panthers' opponents, dropping only three games in the process. She also was part of three doubles wins.  Fletcher had four singles wins and six doubles victories.
Saran Lloyd picked up three singles victories and was part of a doubles win.
The Lady Panthers return to Clark Atlanta this weekend when they host a mini Crossover at CAU Tennis Courts on Saturday, March 30. The full schedule and times of play will be determined this week.
