That lead grew to 24 as Montevallo wen on a 10-2 run over the first two minutes of the third quarter to go up 48-24. That lead grew to as many as 28 as Montevallo maintained their lead to take the win.
The Lady Panthers hit only 29 percent of their shots for the game, though they hit 17 baskets in the second half, compared to just six in the first half. Montevallo was 33-of-88 (41 percent) from the floor with five 3-pointers. CAU was 1-of-14 on their 3-point attempts.
