Box Score Naomi Holloway scored 26 points, but the Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers lost in the final minute to Albany State University 80-76 Monday at L.S. Epps Gymnasium.
However, the Lady Panthers, who end the regular season with a 17-8 overall record, completed a campaign in which they've won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference East Division crown with a 15-3 conference record. CAU went from finishing at the bottom of the SIAC East last season to ending this season on top of the division.

Danielle Veney - were honored on an emotional Senior Night Monday.
The Lady Panthers, led the entire first half, leading by as many as 13 points after
Lauren Turner's 3-pointer made it 34-21 with 6:02 left before halftime. Albany State was able to whittle that lead down to 40-34 by the break.
The Lady Panthers got that lead back up to double-digits in the third quarter when Holloway's layup made it 50-36 midway through the quarter. But ASU went on a 20-6 run to end the quarter tied 56-56.
CAU went on a 16-6 run over the first four-and-a-half minutes of the fourth quarter to regain a double-digit lead, going up 72-62 on
Reyana Miller's basket with 5:37 remaining.
But over the next nearly five minutes, ASU again made a big run, outscoring Clark Atlanta 14-4 to tie the game 76-76 on Alexandria James' shot with 49 seconds left. CAU couldn't score during that final minute while James hit another basket, along with two free throws with seven seconds left, to give ASU the win.
Holloway led CAU with 26 points, four rebounds, five assists and five steals, while Miller had 20 points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal. Turner had 16 points, nine rebounds and a steal, while
Courtney Hall blocked three shots, had four rebounds and a basket.
Kiyanna Johnson finished with six points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal. Riann McCullom had four points, an assist and a steal, while
I'nayah Moore had a basket, three rebounds, an assist and two steals.
Jonae Lee grabbed one rebound.
Eiesha Foster led Albany State (16-11, 12-5 SIAC) with 25 points.
Next up for CAU is the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament in Birmingham, Ala., which runs from Monday, Feb. 26 through Saturday, March 3. Clark Atlanta will be seeded No. 1 in the East and play at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28.
