Yolanda Moore, the Lady Panthers rank among the top five teams in the conference is scoring and defensive points allowed.  The Lady Panthers have the SIAC's top rebounder in Lauren Turner, leader in assists and steals in Marissa Mandeldove and the third-leading shot-blocker in Courtney Hall. Naomi Holloway leads CAU in scoring with 15 points per game while Turner averages 12.6 points per game.  Mandeldove scores 11.8 points per game.
Saturday's game is the first for the Lady Panthers since a 66-63
comeback win over Kentucky State on Dec. 18 just before the Christmas break.
"Hopefully, being away from each other, they are going to miss each other a little bit and be excited about coming back and be excited about where they are because they've done well," said Moore. "Considering from last season to this season, they've done really well.  We still have a lot of things to work on, but I think they should really take in where they are and just enjoy it for a little bit.  But come back refreshed."
The Lady Panthers take on a Spring Hill team (7-5, 1-2 SIAC) that has
dropped their last three games, the last two to conference foes, Claflin and Benedict.
Spring Hill is the second-highest scoring team in conference and are led by Jewel Hill (19 points per game) and Elise Reilly (15.5 points per game).
After Saturday's game, the Lady Panthers return to L.S. Epps Gymnasium on Thursday, Jan. 4 at 6 p.m. when they host Lane College.
