Box Score Naomi Holloway had a career-high 27 points to lead the Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers to an 85-81 come-from-behind win over Central State University Saturday in L.S. Epps Gymnasium.
The Lady Panthers (6-5) broke a three-game losing streak and remained undefeated in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at 4-0 in handing Central State (9-3, 4-1 SIAC) their first conference loss.
The Lady Panthers were behind most of the game, trailing by as many as 13 points twice in the third quarter.
But CAU fought back, outscoring Central State 11-9 over the last 3:23 of the third quarter to close the gap seven points heading into the fourth quarter. The kept the rally going, taking at 70-69 lead on Marissa Mandeldove's 3-pointer with 6:54 remaining. They never relinquished the lead after that.
Holloway, a freshman from Stone Mountain, Ga., finished with 27 points, seven rebounds, an assist and a steal. Courtney Hall had 14 points, five rebounds and a steal, while Mandeldove finished with 13 points, four rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Lauren

Central State was led by Takyra Gilbert who had 16 points.
The Lady Panthers are back in action Monday when they host Kentucky State (2-10, 2-2 SIAC) at 6 p.m. in L.S. Epps Gymnasium.
