ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Clark Atlanta men's basketball headed to the Sunshine State and lost in overtime, 66-59, despite 21 points from
Tim Sanders.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Half | Clark Atlanta scored the opening basket of the game on a layup from
Lawrance Triplett. A 6-0 run put Clark Atlanta ahead, 8-3, as Triplett opened the run with a 3-pointer.

Trailing 18-15 with 10:33 left in the half,
Chuka Eneh tied the game with a 3-pointer to ignite a 7-0 run that had back-to-back layups by
Tajai Johnson. The lead would remain with the Panthers into the intermission with the score 32-29.

Second Half | Midway through the second half, Flagler utilized a 10-4 run to tie the game at 45-45 with 7:17 left to play in the game. Clark Atlanta would take small leads from that point only to see Flagler retie the game.
Tim Sanders ended the regulation scoring with a layup tying the game at 53 with 1:09 left in the clock.

Overtime | Flagler opened the extra time with a 4-0 run and would lead for the duration of the extra five minutes by outscoring the Panthers, 13-6.
TEAM NUMBERS:
Clark Atlanta held the advantage in points off turnovers, 16-4, second chance scoring, 18-9, bench scoring, 20-2, fast break scoring, 12-6, and points in the paint, 28-24.

The Panthers shot 22-for-75 from the floor (29.3 percent) and went just 5-for-24 from 3-point range. CAU was also 10-for-20 from the FT line.
INDIVIDUAL NUMBERS:
Sanders scored a game-high 21 points (one below his season best) on 7-for-17 from the floor and 4-for-6 from the FT line with three made 3-pointers.

Johnson scored 10 first half points on his way to 11 for the game as the only other Panther in double-digit scoring.

Eneh, making his season debut, and
Damien Davis led the team with 10 rebounds each. Eneh scored nine points in 22 minutes while Davis chipped in with seven points and one blocked shot.

Clark Atlanta will take a break in the schedule for final exams and will return to action with the first SIAC game of the season on Dec. 14 from L.S. Epps Gymnasium versus Tuskegee at 8:00 p.m.
