YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - Clark Atlanta men's basketball took the lead for good with 4:06 to play in the second half on the road at Young Harris to pick up the 77-74 victory. A 5-0 run gave the Panthers the advantage, 69-64, for the remainder of the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Half | Clark Atlanta fell behind, 4-0, to begin the game before Damien Davis went 2-for-2 from the FT line for the first Panther points.
 
With 4:59 left in the opening half, a Tim Sanders 3-pointer started a 10-0 run that put CAU ahead 30-24 with 1:38 left. Anthony Williams added a 3-pointer during the run that ended with back-to-back layups from Tajai Johnson. In the final 1:12 of the half CAU picked up a 3-pointer from Shamiek Sheppard prior to a Davis layup.
 
Clark Atlanta went in the intermission leading 35-28.
 
Second Half | An early 7-0 run moved the advantage for Clark Atlanta to a game-high 12 points, 42-30, with 17:56 left to play. Young Harris would tie the score, 56-56, with 7:13 left to play after an 11-0 run for the home team.
 
After seeing the score tied with 4:27 left in the game it was a 3-pointer from Derek Harper with 4:06 that put the Panthers ahead for the rest of the night. Davis would score six-straight Panther points before a pair of FTs from Lawrance Triplett and Sanders ended the scoring.

TEAM NUMBERS:
Clark Atlanta held advantages in time with the lead, 20:21-16:07, assists, 14-11, bench scoring, 19-16 and points off turnovers, 14-11.
 
CAU shot 48.1 percent on 25-for-52 shooting from the floor while connecting on 7-of-14 from 3-point range. The Panthers also shot 20-for-29 from the FT line.

INDIVIDUAL NUMBERS:
Four Panthers reached double-digits in scoring behind a team-high 20 points from Davis. Sanders (16), Harper (13) and Sheppard (11) all reached double digits.
 
Triplett pulled in a game-high 12 rebounds, including 11 on the defensive side to limit Young Harris to just 12 second-chance points.

Williams distributed a team-high five assists while Sanders chipped in with four. Sheppard added three steals.
