ATLANTA, Ga. - Clark Atlanta men's basketball saw a three-game winning streak come to an end at home versus Shorter, 75-70.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Half | Shorter opened the game on a 6-0 run and later utilized a 12-0 run to take the advantage, 25-8, with 10:18 remaining in the opening half. CAU would score the final two baskets of the opening half on a layup from
Lawrance Triplett and a jumper from
Tim Sanders to go into the intermission trailing 41-21.

Second Half | The Panthers scored the opening five points to start the second half to cut the deficit to 15 points, 41-26, to cap a 9-0 run. Midway through the second half Clark Atlanta scored 12-of-14 that ended with a 3-pointer and layup from
Anthony Williams with 12:32 to play to pull CAU within five points, 52-47. Over the final nine minutes of the game, 24 combined FT attempts were made, but the Panthers were unable to draw closer than five points. The game ended with a Sanders 3-pointer from the corner.
TEAM NUMBERS:
Clark Atlanta shot 22-for-68 from the floor (32.4 percent) compared to 43.6 percent for Shorter. The second saw the Panthers connect on 19-of-21 from the FT line as part of a 22-for-24 (91.7 percent) effort for the game.

Clark Atlanta held the advantage in second chance scoring (21-12), bench scoring (15-2), points in the paint (20-18), and fast break scoring (10-8). Shorter took advantage of 14 Panther turnovers to lead the points of turnover scoring 19-15.
INDIVIDUAL NUMBERS:
Triplett reach double-figures in rebounds for the third time this season with 11 rebounds while scoring six points.

Four Panthers reached double figures in points led by Williams with 17. Sanders and
Damien Davis each scored 16 while
Tajai Johnson scored 13 to lead the bench scoring.
