ATLANTA, Ga. - Clark Atlanta men's basketball raced out to an early lead only to see the visiting Magicians of LeMoyne-Owen tie the game late and defeat the Panthers on overtime; 82-77. The loss extends the current losing streak to three games after back-to-back home wins in mid-December.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Damien Enoch got the game started with a jumper 46 seconds into the game for the first points.
CAU opened the game with a 9-0 run.
Clark Atlanta held a first half lead, 22-4, after
Tim Sanders connected on a 3-pointer with 11:24 left to play.
The lead reached 20 points, 30-10, for the largest CAU advantage of the game with 7:16 remaining when
Tajai Johnson was good on a jumper.
A 15-7 LeMoyne-Owen run closed the half with the score 37-25 in the favor of Clark Atlanta.
In the opening half, Clark Atlanta shot 16-for-30 (53.3 percent) from the floor adding a pair of 3-pointers.
Cold shooting (34.5 percent) hurt Clark Atlanta as LeMoyne-Owen (56 percent) was able to draw to a tie at the end of regulation.
LOC was able to chip away and take the lead, 52-51, with 9:58 remaining after opening the half with a 27-14 run.
Clark Atlanta scored the final six points from the FT line.
The Magicians were 4-for-4, including 2-for-2 on 3-pointers from the floor in overtime and 6-for-10 from the FT line. The Panthers went 4-for-10 from the floor and 2-for-5 from the FT line.
THE NUMBERS:For the game, CAU shot 30-for-69 (43.5 percent) from the floor including 5-for-19 on 3-pointers. CAU was just 12-for-23 from the FT line.
The Panthers converted 19 Magician turnovers into 21 points.
Clark Atlanta held advantages in second chance points, 22-8, bench scoring, 13-9, and points in the paint, 20-14.
Three Panthers reached double-digit points; Harper (22), Enoch (15), and
Lawrance Freeman (10).
Harper scored a team-high for the second time this season, having done so now in back-to-back games. The guard added five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Enoch and Freeman each added five rebounds along with Sanders.
Chuka Eneh had a game-high nine rebounds to go with eight points and a blocked shot.
Johnson scored nine points off the bench while swiping four steals.
UP NEXT:Clark Atlanta travels to Central State and Kentucky State this upcoming weekend, and will play Albany State from Chicago, Ill. before returning to Epps Gymnasium on Jan. 18 versus Spring Hill College.
