WILBERFORCE, Ohio - Clark Atlanta men's basketball snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating Central State on the road, 69-60. The win also marks the first Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) victory of the season for the Panthers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Derek Harper put the Panthers ahead 3-2 with a 3-pointer 1:14 into the game.
An 8-0 run extended the Clark Atlanta advantage to 13-5 with
Chuka Eneh closing the run with a jumper with 15:23 remaining before halftime.
Central State retook the lead, 21-20, with 8:49 remaining in the first half.
Clark Atlanta would trail by as many as five points before regaining the lead, 28-27, on a
James Arnold layup after grabbing the offensive rebound.
Tim Sanders ended the first half with a jumper to tie the game, 33-33.
CAU opened the game shooting 55 percent (11-for-20) from the floor in the first half and went 10-for-15 from the FT line.
The second half opened with Arnold picking up a steal and driving the length of the court for the fast break dunk.
The game stayed close through the second half. Clark Atlanta was able to build a five-point lead, 60-55, but saw a 3-pointer from Central State on the next trip down the court turn to a 60-58 game with 2:48 remaining.
Back-to-Back possessions for CAU resulted in
David Basil dunks to put the Panthers ahead by six, 64-58.
The Panthers closed the game on a 5-2 run to pick up the road victory.
THE NUMBERS:Clark Atlanta shot 26-for-44 (59.1) percent from the floor with going just 1-for-5 from 3-point range. The Panthers went 16-for-26 from the FT line for the game.
The Panthers forced 16 Marauder turnovers and converted those opportunities into 21 points.
Clark Atlanta held advantages in second chance points, 9-4, bench points, 34-15, points in the paint, 44-28, and fast break points, 12-4.
Three Panthers reached double-digits in points; Harper (16), Basil (12), and Sanders (10). Harper led the scoring effort for the third-consecutive game.
Basil posted season-highs in points and rebounds (nine). Basil was 5-for-5 from the floor to lead the bench effort.
Sanders and Arnold tied for the game-high with four steals.
