ATLANTA, Ga. - Clark Atlanta women's basketball scored just three points in the first quarter, but came back to have a late fourth-quarter lead.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Both teams struggled at the start of the going, combining for just 11 points in the first quarter with CAU trailing 8-3. 
Clark Atlanta posted a pair of 4-0 runs mid-way through the second quarter to draw close, but a late Spring Hill 6-0 run ended the half with the visiting leading 25-17. 
Nekia Sockwell opened the second half with a layup, 25-19, after just 25 seconds. 
After a jumper form SHC, 
Mykala Jones responded with one of her own with 7:53 remaining. 
Brandie Robertson and Jones scored on back-to-back possessions in the third quarter to bring Clark Atlanta within seven points, 32-25, with 3:07 left to play. 
After the Badgers pushed the advantage back to double-digits, 
Sydni Davis assisted on jumpers from Jones and 
Siera Bubb to pull within six before SHC connected on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to end the third leading 39-30. 
Jones and Bubb again scored on consecutive possessions early in the fourth quarter as CAU trailed by just five, 43-38, with 8:11 remaining in the game. 
A 7-0 CAU run gave the Panthers the one-point lead for the first CAU lead of the game, 49-48, with 2:44 left to play.  Robertson made a pair of FT to start the run that saw Sockwell good on one from the line and Bubb scoring on a layup and jumper. 
After SHC retook the lead, Robertson added a jumper for her eleventh point of the game for the final CAU lead, 51-50, with 1:55 left. 
Spring Hill ended the game with a 6-2 run to end the game.
THE NUMBERS:Clark Atlanta shot 23-for-54 from the floor (42.6 percent) and failed to make a 3-pointer in the game, going 0-for-5 from long distance.  Spring Hill was 23-for-55 from the floor (41.8 percent), and 3-for-12 from behind the arc. 
The Panthers were 7-for-12 from the Ft line, while the Badgers were 7-for-13. 
Clark Atlanta converted 28 turnovers into 16 points.  
CAU held advantages in points in the paint, 16-14, and fast break points, 4-2.  SHC led in second chance points, 23-2, and bench scoring, 24-13. 
Jones (7-for-18) and Bubb (8-for-14) each registered a game-high 16 points. Robertson scored 11 points off the bench on 4-of-5 shooting. 
Robertson pulled in a team-high five rebounds while adding five assists for the game-high. 
Bubb contributed four rebounds and a pair of blocked shots. 
Sockwell and Jones tied for the game-high with three steals.
