CARROLLTON, Ga. - The Clark Atlanta Panthers suffered the road defeat at No. 2 West Georgia, 56-0.  The loss marks the first time in the series between the in-state schools where the home team has won in the last three meetings.  Clark Atlanta picked up the victory in 2008 in Carrollton, 28-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The CAU defense held the Wolves to a punt on the opening drive.

UWG proceeded to score on 5-of-6 drives to put the game out of reach early.

The halftime score was 32-0.

By the quarter, the defense gave up 14-18-14-10 points.


THE NUMBERS:
Clark Atlanta gained 100 total yards on 70 plays; West Georgia racked up 406 yards on 63 plays.

CAU held the time of possession advantage, 32:48-27:05.  The Panthers entered the game averaging 31:21 of offense.

CAU was 5-for-20 on Third Down and 1-for-4 on Fourth Down.

A duo of quarterbacks went 8-for-21 passing for 31 yards. 

Matthew Vincent had all eight completions with five receivers grabbing passes.

Dashawn Blow had the two largest gaining plays with rushes of 11 and 15 yards.

Deandre Jackson averaged 16 yards per punt return.
