Baseball Drops Third Game of Series to Claflin

Box Score Atlanta, Ga. --- The Clark Atlanta University Panthers baseball team took the diamond on Monday afternoon looking to extract a little bit of revenge on the Claflin University Panthers, but much like on Sunday fell short, losing 18-6.

After the first two innings in the nine inning affair, the visitors held a slim 5-4 to lead over CAU, thanks in part to a couple of timely errors and a few batters hit by balls in favor of Clark Atlanta, which would account for all four runs. Unfortunately for the home side, they wouldn't see any more offense until the seventh inning, and at that point CU had opened up a 12-4 lead en route to the victory. Joseph Holmes pitched six solid innings for Clark Atlanta, while Dalton Tresvant got the win despite getting just five outs in the contest.

CAU will return to action again on Tuesday as they play host to Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) foe Miles College, for a single nine inning game. First pitch is scheduled for 2 pm at Bill Evans Field in College Park, Georgia.
