MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - These two team met ten days ago in Atlanta but Clark Atlanta was unable to overcome Georgia College on the road, 92-79. GC defeated CAU from Epps Gymnasium on Nov. 23, 83-74.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Najee Whitehead scored the first points for Clark Atlanta after the Panthers fell behind the Bobcats, 4-0. The Whitehead layup after grabbing the offensive-rebound made the score 4-2 with 18:02 in the opening half.
Whitehead struck again, this time taking the
James Arnold assist to keep the whole two points, 6-4.
Damien Enoch bookended layups around a
Tim Sanders jumper as CAU trailed 15-10 with 12:18 left before halftime.
GC jumped out to a 35-14 advantage after a 20-4 run ending on a
Derrick Herbert layup with 4:57 left in the opening half.
Over the course of 1:02,
Joseph Hughes made a layup off of an assist from
Lawrance Freeman and added a 3-pointer on the assist from Herbert. The score was 41-19 with 1:50 left in the first half.
The score at halftime favored the home team, 48-21, thanks to a 7-2 run to end the opening half.
Clark Atlanta outscored Georgia College in the second half, 58-44, but was unable to overcome the 27-point GC advantage.
Clark Atlanta trailed by as much as 29 points after GC scored the opening basket of the second half, 50-21.
Arnold came right back and buried a 3-pointer with the Sanders assist, 50-24.
Clark Atlanta drew within 11 points, 76-65, thanks to a 41-26 spurt ending with a Hughes 3 with 4:37 left in the game.
THE NUMBERS:Five Panthers reached double-digits in points as starters Arnold (18), Whitehead (12) , and Sanders (11) were joined by bench players Enoch (14) and Hughes (13). Whitehead, Sanders, and Hughes all scored season-highs in points.
Freeman hauled in a team-high 10 rebounds. He has both double-digit rebounds game of the season versus Georgia College having pulled in 10 rebounds on Nov. 23 also.
Sanders dished out a game-high eight assists, setting a team-best for a game this season.
Clark Atlanta shot 42.9 percent (30-for-70) from the floor, including 8-for-23 from 3-point range. CAU struggled from the free throw line going 11-for-21 (52.4 percent).
Clark Atlanta was able to convert 18 Georgia College turnovers into 26 points. Clark Atlanta held the 31-30 advantage on points in the paint along with a 10-6 advantage in second-chance points.
