ATLANTA, Ga. - The Clark Atlanta men's basketball team was able to split the season series with in-state foe Young Harris with the 65-60 home victory. The two schools met previously on Nov. 18 at Young Harris with the Mountain Lions defeating the Panthers 88-66.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Clark Atlanta jumped out to an 8-0 lead with made 3-pointers by
Chuka Eneh on back-to-back possessions to start the game. Eneh added a layup to score all the points during the run.
The eight-point lead would represent the largest lead of the game for CAU.
Clark Atlanta held the lead until Yong Harris tied the game, 14-14, with 11:30 left in the opening half after a 3-pointer.
Young Harris led for the majority of the remaining opening half, with a lead as large as eight, until the final moments.
Derek Harper converted a pair of FT attempts with 33 seconds left in the half. The first tied the game, 28-28, with the second giving CAU the one-point advantage, 29-28. The score would hold into halftime.
The second half opened with
Joseph Hughes hitting a 3-pointer on the
Tim Sanders assist to extend the lead to 31-28.
The scoring went back-and-forth for the first 14 minutes of the half, as neither team led by more than five points. CAU utilized back-to-back FT's from Hughes to stretch the home advantage to seven points, 53-46, with 6:19 to play.
Hughes added another pair of FT to retake the lead after the Mountain Lions had stolen the lead from the Panthers, 60-58, with 2:37 left on the clock.
The rest of the points were scored at the line for both teams, including Hughes connecting on three after being fouled in the act of shooting a 3-pointer.
THE NUMBERS:Eneh tied for the game-high with 19 points, including 11 in the second half. The 19 points is a new season-high. He was 7-for-9 from the floor including 4-for-5 from 3-point range.
Sanders scored 17 on 7-for 14, also scoring a season-high. Sanders added a game-best four assists.
Hughes also registered a season-high with 15 points, including a 7-for-7 performance from the FT line.
CAU turned 23 YHC turnovers into 29 points. The Panthers held the points off turnover advantage, 29-12.
Clark Atlanta outscored Young Harris from the bench, 12-11.
