AUGUSTA, Ga. - Clark Atlanta lost the fifth-consecutive game, including the second on the road, at Augusta University (formerly Georgia Regents and Augusta State); 79-59.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Siera Bubb scored the opening basket of the game after picking up the assist from
Sydni Davis with 9:34 remaining in the opening quarter.
A minute later, 8:31 remaining, AU tied the game after a CAU turnover.
Augusta would lead the rest of the way in the opening quarter with a lead as larger as six points, 17-11, when the opening ten minutes ended.
Twice in the opening minutes in the second quarter Clark Atlanta was able to draw within one point; first after a 3-pointer from
Mykala Jones made the score 17-16 and the second after Jones assisted on the Bubb jumper to make the score 19-18 with 8:29 left before halftime.
Bubb added another basket, this time with 6:06 left to play, to pull CAU within two points; 25-23.
Augusta capitalized on a 12-0 run that was finally broken up with Davis making the second of two FT attempts with 1:20 before the intermission to make the score 37-24. Clark Atlanta would trail at the break 40-27.
The best quarter for the Panthers came in the third, outscoring the Jaguars 24-19. CAU reduced a double-digit lead down to as few as three points, 54-51, after another jumper from Bubb after she picked up the defensive rebound to start the possession.
Despite the narrow margin, AU was able to stretch the lead back to eight points, 59-51, after a 5-0 run capped the third quarter.
Clark Atlanta was held to just eight points in the final quarter of the game.
THE NUMBERS:Jones (17) and Bubb (14) were the only payers for Clark Atlanta to reach double-digit point totals. Jones was 5-for-16 from the field, including 4-for-8 from 3-point range. Bubb was 6-for-11 from the floor and 2-for-3 on FT attempts.
Davis pulled in 10 rebounds for the game-high to go along with eight points and four assists. Davis was just 1-for-10 shooting but capitalized going 6-for-8 the FT line.
