LAKELAND, Fla. - Mykala Jones led three played in double-figures for Clark Atlanta but the Panthers lost to Florida Southern, 94-80. The game was the final contest for CAU in the SSC/SIAC Challenge.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Mykala Jones opened the game with a 3-pointer 19 seconds into the game.
Nekia Sockwell connected on a layup to a five-point CAU lead with 8:11 remaining.
Brandi Robertson added a late layup in the first quarter for the nine-point advantage, 26-17, ending the opening quarter.
Florida Southern made a 3-pointer to tie the game, 31-31, with 5:45 until halftime.
CAU led, 41-39, after a
Whitney Collins jumper with 1:53 before FSC scored the final four points of the opening half for the two-point lead heading to halftime.
CAU fell behind by six points, 51-45, early in the third before
Sydni Davis and Sockwell scored back-to-back baskets to cut the lead to two points.
Two points would be the closest CAU would be in the third quarter, and would trail by as much as 11 points. The score after the quarter would be 67-59 with CAU trailing.
The hole remained near double-digits for the remained of the game as CAU would not regain the lead.
THE NUMBERS:Jones scored a game-high 35 points on 12-for-22 from the floor and 7-for-9 on free throws.
Davis scored 11 points on 4-of-12 from the floor.
Brandie Robertson also reached double-digit point totals with ten points on 4-for-7 from the floor off the bench.
Gia Banks gathered five rebounds for a team-high.
CAU shot 50.8% from the floor.
