COLUMBIA, S.C. - Clark Atlanta Volleyball suffered a road loss at Benedict College in five sets; 25-19, 25-21, 22-25, 21-25, 6-15. CAU won the opening two sets before dropping the final three. Each program has won the home match in five sets in the 2015 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:SET 1 | Clark Atlanta had the best hitting percentage, .267, for the match with a 25-19 victory. CAU went on a 10-1 run to extend the lead to 18-12before closing the set on a 4-0 run with
Sierra Scoggins registering a pair of kills.
SET 2 | The Panthers won the set despite hitting just .154. CAU built an early 12-6 advantage but eventually trailed 17-16. Kills by
Cori Smith bookended a 4-0 run to put the Panthers up by four before eventually winning 25-21.
SET 3-5 | CAU dropped the final three sets; 22-25, 21-25, 6-15. Clark Atlanta hit .083, .216, -.412 in each of the lost sets.
THE NUMBERS:CAU held the advantage in kills, 54-46, aces, 15-12, assists, 51-40.
Cori Smith recorded a game-high 19 kills.
Kiara Govan tallied 43 assists to lead all competitors.
Sierra Scoggins tallied a match-best five aces while joining Smith and
Tierra Ford (11) with double-digit kills.
