Panthers Earn Second Straight Win

Box Score Fairfield, Ala. --- Led once again by Najee Whitehead's scoring, the Clark Atlanta University Panthers won on the road against Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) foe Miles College, 98-96. Whitehead put up 28 points in the game, while Damien Enoch added 18 points and 10 rebounds. The Golden Bears were led by Maiscei Greer with 28 points.

The Panthers (3-7, 2-1 SIAC) held a 10-point lead after the first half, outscoring Miles 56-46. The Panthers were 8-of-16 from beyond the three point arc for the game.

Despite CAU holding a double-digit lead at the half, the Golden Bears were able to give themselves a shot to win the game right before the buzzer, but a three point attempt by Kendarius Cunningham was no good. The Panthers were able to run the remaining seven seconds off the clock for the victory.

The Panthers continue their three-game road trip as they take on SIAC foe Kentucky State on Saturday in Frankfort, Kentucky. They will follow that up with a visit to Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, on Monday before returning home.
