Atlanta, Ga.---The Panthers of Clark Atlanta University will host Claflin University in a weekend HOME series that can determine fourth place in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) East Division Saturday, April 6th, for a double-header starting at 12 p.m., and one nine-inning game Sunday, April 7th, at 1 p.m., at Bill Evans Field.
CAU (8-15, SIAC 3-5), who currently sits in fifth place, is coming off an 11-6 loss to non-conference opponent Edward Waters College Wednesday and a sweep of Lane College (9-4, 5-1, and 6-3) last week. Claflin holds the No.4 spot in the East with a 4-5 conference record.
For the Panthers, Manuel Gasper leads the team with a .368 batting average while junior Kelvin Tanner tops the Panthers with four homeruns, 21 RBIs and 20 hits. All CAU HOME baseball games are played at Bill Evans Field located at 3636 College Street in College Park, Georgia.
