Panthers held Scoreless in Road Loss

Box Score Milledgeville, Ga.---With only four hits in the game, the Clark Atlanta University Panthers fell 12-0 to Georgia College and State University (GCSU) in game one of a weekend series on the road Friday.

Through five innings, GCSU held a 3-0 lead as the Panthers(3-3) struggled from the plate. An eight-inning slug fest with six runs including a three-run homer by the Bobcats extended their lead to 12. Manuel Gasper was 2-for-3 from that plate to lead the Panthers with two singles. DeMarcus Taylor picked up his first lost of the season on the mound.

The series will continue Saturday, Feb. 16, with a 1 p.m., double-header.
