Harper's lay-up secured the victory for the Clark Atlanta Panthers last night

Box Score Atlanta, Ga. (Written by: Robert Vogel) – With a career-high 23 points, freshman guard Derek Harper's lay-up with six seconds remaining pushed Clark Atlanta University ahead of Georgia College & State University 74-73 last tonight.

Coming off the bench for the CAU Panthers, Harper came to play contributing 11 points in the first half. Followed by Houston with 13 putting the Panthers ahead 44-38 at the half. In the second half Harper continue to dominate on the court putting another 10 points on the board. Defensively junior forward Jordan Husley led the Panthers with nine rebounds. Despite the loss for Georgia College and State University sophomore guard Terrell Harris kept them in the game contributing 24 points. Two other Bobcats dropped double-digits including Thomas with 14, and Robert Armstrong (10).

Next, Clark Atlanta (3-4) will host the Hornets of Southern Polytechnic State University Monday, Dec. 16 at 7:00 p.m. in Epps Gymnasium.
